A story of ready-made dishes
A tradition that goes back a long wayIt might be excessive to call the origins of Pantagruel S.r.l. "ancient", but we think that over fifty years in business is quite an achievement for a family that has practically never left the kitchen…and that has made "good cooking" its lifetime ambition. The pioneer of the family was grandfather Dino (who first traveled the seven seas as a cook on ships). When he finally settled down on dry land, he started out as the owner of a restaurant, then expanded to more restaurants and even more take-out shops, specializing in cooked dishes of all kinds. The enterprising spirit of the grandfather laid the foundations for the Capannini family in the difficult trade of food service, and his daughter Silvana, who takes personal responsibility for the preparation of the dishes, her husband Carlo and their son Michele decided to carry it on. It is exhausting, stressful work but it has compensated them well for their efforts. The difficult part is satisfying the culinary demands of so many people, but Silvana is firm in her intent of maintaining the consolidated traditions of the family fame intact. Though it may not be easy to reconcile "good cooking" with the demands of a modern clientele (more and more besieged by countless attractive offers), requiring even harder work, for Pantagruel this is not a problem, because we are fully aware of the advantage given by our skill and long experience. These qualities are widely acclaimed by a privileged clientele (we consider them true friends, as well as refined gourmets) who know that when they serve the dishes prepared by "signora Silvana" they will always find the flavors of good, traditional cooking and the perfect treat to enhance the table for every occasion, whether its a simple dinner (maybe for just one person) or a full-scale banquet for an important family occasion (a wedding, christening, birthday, etc.), a fancy buffet for a business reception, a public event, and so on.
